Applicants – How To Get Started
The Area II Inside Electrical apprenticeship program is a 4-year program designed to give students the experience and training necessary to earn the status of
“general journeyman electrician”. It is a combination of classroom and on-the-job training. Over the four years, 576 hours of class and 8,000 hours of on-the-job training are earned through a combination of classroom instruction at Chemeketa Community College and work experience with approved training agents (employers). Once these minimum requirements are met, apprentices take the general journeyman examination and become licensed electricians.
